Scrapbooking Fun with the Gingerbread Border Punch
This week’s Scrapbook Live project is a cozy, two-page layout created using the Gingerbread Border Punch and the Gingerbread Fun collection. It has room for a LOT of photos, plenty of space for the adorable embellishments in the collection, and a structure that’s easy to adapt for other themes and supplies.
One of my favorite things about this layout is its flexibility. While I’m using the Gingerbread Border Punch for this version, the design works beautifully with any border punch you have. Swapping out the punch instantly gives the layout a whole new look, making this a great sketch to reuse with different collections.
We’ll be working with Caramel cardstock for the foundation of the pages, which pairs perfectly with the warm tones in the Gingerbread Fun papers. It provides just enough contrast to let the patterns and photos shine. If you don’t have Caramel, any warm neutral cardstock will give a similar effect.
You’ll also see the Circle Punch used in a very intentional way—tucked behind the punched border to add pops of color and contrast. This simple technique adds visual interest and helps repeat colors from the patterned papers without overwhelming the design.
This layout is ideal for holiday photos or events where you tend to take lots of pictures, like school parties, baking days, or family gatherings. The photo-friendly design keeps everything organized while still leaving room for embellishments and storytelling.
As always, during Scrapbook Live I’ll walk you through the layout step by step and share tips for adapting the design using the supplies you already have. If you missed the live demo, be sure to catch the replay and give this versatile layout a try!
