Scrapbook Live – Split Border Banner Layout

The Layout

For this week’s layout, I took a trip down memory lane and pulled a design from my vault—one I originally created several years ago when the beautiful Spiced Plum collection was featured in a Secret Box. That box included some stunning 12-inch borders, but only one of each design, which posed a fun challenge.

The goal of this layout design was to show how you can creatively stretch a single border to work across a two-page spread. The result? A simple yet flexible design that can be easily adapted with different papers, collections, and themes—making it a great go-to idea when you want to make the most of your supplies.

During this week’s Scrapbook Live, I’ll be recreating the layout using Creative Memories’ vibrant Paradise Found collection. While CM now often includes coordinating border pairs in their limited-edition bundles, I know many scrappers still love finding smart ways to maximize their stash—especially when favorite collections are hard to come by again!
