I will be going LIVE on my Facebook page at 12:00 Pm PT on Friday, December 12th, 2025. If you can’t join me for the FB Live, the recording will be available to watch later on Facebook, or you can find it on my YouTube Channel. I will also add it to this blog post along with a photo of my final project.

Simple Concept – Stunning Results!

This week’s Scrapbook Live layout is inspired by a project from the Creative Memories Blog. It first caught my eye in the marketing photos for the new Gingerbread Fun collection, and I instantly loved the concept. When it finally appeared on the blog, I knew it was the perfect chance to create my own version and share the process with you. It has that wonderful mix of simplicity and visual impact that makes a layout both approachable and exciting to customize.

What stood out to me right away was how easily this design can be adapted. The moment I saw it published, I started imagining different papers and themes, and I couldn’t wait to bring it to Scrapbook Live so we could walk through the technique together.

The layout features vertical strips of paper arranged evenly across the page to create a structured backdrop for three photos. Each strip is punched with the Circle Punch, and the ends are spaced slightly apart to form the illusion of a circular opening. This creates a perfect spot for a small embellishment or punched shape while keeping the photos front and center.

These strips add clean lines, subtle detail, and plenty of flexibility. Because the design uses smaller pieces of paper, it’s a fantastic way to use up scraps and bring fresh life to any collection. No matter what theme you choose, the result feels polished, playful, and incredibly easy to customize.
