The Layout
This layout is from January 2019 on the Creative Memories blog, back in the day when CM had the Happy Album Kits. Monthly they would release page ideas using the kits and this one caught my eye – it’s a little more chaotic than I like to create, but I appreciate the overall vibe. It feels very daily journal-style as compared to scrapbook-style which may or may not make any sense. Haha!
While the demo layout and initial instructions are how to create the layout with the Happy Album Kits designed for the 6-3/4 x 10″ pages, I have added instructions for adapting the layout to 12 x 12″ pages. During the live demo (which you will be able to watch the recording later) I will talk a bit more about some tips for tearing the paper to get a similar look to the original layout.
I used the Noteworthy Days collection for this layout, adding in some Navy cardstock as an accent. The title letters are cut with retired letter dies from Close to my Heart. I really like how this page turned out – definitely a little different for me but it sums up our March 2025 really well! Some of the photos will have full pages done for other albums, but as a quick synopsis, this works perfectly. Now I just need to go back and do the monthly pages for January and February!
