The Layout
When life gets a little crazy and stressful, the last thing you need is for your hobby to be complicated! I appreciate this layout for being simple – I am going to let my tools do all the creative work for me. The directions for this blog project rely on using some of the stickers specific to the Welcome Baby collection, but the concept can be replicated with some basic tools you likely already have in your stash.
My demo version is a layout I will use for photos of moving my college freshman into their dorm room at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. I opted to use the 3-in-1 Scallop Square Layering Punch along with the Square Punch to make the embellishments clusters that line the top and bottom of the layout. I selected cardstock colors that complemented the university’s school colors (navy, golden yellow and white.) The 3-in-1 Scallop Circle Layering Punch with the Circle Punch would be an excellent alternative if you want something a bit softer.
Quick tip: for those of you who LOVE the retired Creative Memories Goldenrod Cardstock, the darker side of the Yellow Dual Tone White Core Cardstock (called Juicy Fruit) is a great alternative.
