The Layout

I am sure you are not surprised when I announce how much I like angles. When I am trying to think of ideas for layouts, one of the questions I ask myself is “What if I cut this in half?” immediately followed by, “What if I cut this in half on an ANGLE?” That thought process is pretty much how this layout came about. What I love about this design is that it truly can be done with ANY collection, and you can mix and match as you need for your photos. You can also vary the width of the strips that cover the 6 x 10″ rectangle for an eclectic look.

For my demo layout, I decided to use some photos from a recent Arizona Diamondbacks MLB game that I attended with my family. Creative Memories doesn’t have a current baseball theme collection, so I decided to use tonal paper and cardstock in the team colors of teal, cranberry, gray, black and white. I actually LOVE this color combo, so I was very excited to put this all together. For the border element that is on the bottom of the left page and top of the right page, I used the retired Chevrons Border Maker Cartridge, but you can use any border element that matches your theme.
