The Layout
January is just flying by! In fact, it’s flying so fast I thought this Friday was the last Friday of the month and that meant it was time to put together some borders! Then I looked at a calendar and realized there is still one more Friday left in the month. As a compromise, I will demo this layout from the CM Blog that features some fun ticket-like accents on the border. These are so cute and can be put together from scraps!
Note: You will need a 1/4″ hole punch and the Stamping Blade to create the full ticket effect.
For my demo layout I used the retired Sweater Weather papers from a previous summer promo. I paired it with Bright White cardstock for the base because I wanted to keep the layout light and airy. I detail more thoughts on paper selection in the video, so be sure to check it out.
The original layout showcases all the adorable embellishments that are available as part of the Noteworthy Days collection, but I used the space to add additional photos to the layout. My photos are from an event at my son’s school, so my demo photo shows mats in place of the photos to protect students’ privacy. The photo sizes are (2) 3-1/4 x 4-1/2″ and (2) 6 x 3-3/4″.
For the title, I paired my two favorite fonts together – a retired metal die set from Close to My Heart and the retired brown Script ABC/123 Stickers from Creative Memories.
