Scrapbook Live Welcome Baby Boy Borders

The Borders

It’s the last Friday of the month, and that means it’s time for another round of borders — one of my favorite SBL traditions! This month, I’ve handpicked three unique border designs from the Creative Memories blog to showcase. Each one offers its own flair, whether it’s a clever tip, a neat trick, or a technique that adds that perfect finishing touch to your layouts.

What I love about these three borders is that they’re all just a bit different from each other, giving you a variety of ideas you can use right away. One of the borders features the Linear Plaid Border Maker Cartridge — a tool that often flies under the radar, but I’m excited to show you how to bring it to life with just a bit of added color and detail. It’s a subtle stunner with a lot of potential! I will also be using the Bears Chain and Diamond Windows Chain BMCs in addition to the Square punch and Wave Decorative Blade for the 12-inch Trimmer.

For this demo, I used the Welcome Baby collection, which includes a soothing and cheerful mix of teals, yellows, and creams. These soft colors were perfect for the project at hand: creating borders for a baby’s first-year 8×8 album — a very special album that I’m (finally!) putting together for my oldest child… who is now 21 years old! Proof that it’s never too late to celebrate those sweet early moments.
